Introducing Projects and the Syngency Chrome extension

Syngency's new Projects module is the perfect way to manage briefs and cast for roles, even across multiple episodes.

Using the new Syngency Chrome extension, you can import all brief and role information directly into a new project, or an existing one as a new episode.

The extension currently supports importing of briefs from the following casting websites:

  • Casting Networks

  • Breakdown Express

  • Casting.com

  • Casting Workbook

  • Casting Frontier

  • Spotlight

  • Showcast

Getting Started

To create your first project from an imported brief, follow these steps:

  1. Once installed, click on the extension's icon in Chrome's toolbar, and click Open Settings from the extension's popup dialog:

  2. Enter your Syngency account URL (eg. https://youragency.syngency.com), and the email and password you use to login.

  3. Click the checkboxes of each site you want to enable for use with the extension:

  4. Click Save Settings, and then Test API Connection to ensure your account details are correct.

  5. You can now navigate to any of the enabled websites, and click through to open a brief or role. The extension popup will show a green active status with the name of the site, when it is ready to import the project:

  6. Enter or modify the name of the project, and click Create Project to import it into Syngency. Once the project has been created in Syngency, it will open automatically in a new Chrome tab.
