There are important factors to consider and be aware of when wanting to update or change Division Names.
Please read the below notes carefully before deciding on updating or changing your published Division names:
Changing a division name will, by default, change the division URL.
When a division URL changes, all the talent URLs within that division context are also changed (i.e.
/divisions/a/talent-namebecome/divisions/b/talent-name).These URLs are usually referenced in website navigation, so any changes may need to be coordinated with a template change.
These URLs are often used in package emails, and the change will break links in those emails if done without redirections.
URL changes may negatively effect search engine rankings if done without redirections.
Redirecting entire divisions and the related talent within that division typically requires redirections to be configured outside Syngency, since Syngency's Redirects don't support wildcards. This may require billed work if done by our team.
