The relationship between divisions and gallery types in Syngency is a key feature, and is instrumental when it comes to structuring your divisions, packages, and websites. This article will guide you through how to create the division and gallery structure that works best for your agency.
Division and Gallery types can be managed under Settings > Types:
Divisions are the primary categories which your talent are assigned to.
Typically these may include any of the following, depending on your type of agency:
Modelling: "Fashion", "Lifestyle", "New Faces"
Talent: "Actors", "Influencers", "Voice Over"
Production/Artists: "Hair & Makeup", "Stylists", "Photographers"
Talent can be assigned to more than one division, and can feature a different headshot for each.
Galleries contain images, video, or audio files. Some important points to remember:
- Can either be Published (visible in packages and on your website) or Archived (private)
- Can be assigned to a specific division (to only be displayed when viewing the models' profile within that division), or available to all divisions (will always be displayed, when viewing the models' profile in any division).
- You can have multiple gallery types assigned to different divisions. For instance, a model in both the Fashion and Commercial divisions might have the following galleries (divisions in brackets):
- Published galleries can only be named as an existing gallery type. The default gallery type is "Portfolio". Other examples of galleries might be "Digitals", "Video", "Swimwear", "Hands".
You can manage your gallery types under Settings > Types > Galleries.
All of these can be set when you first create the gallery, or changed later, from the Edit Gallery option in the gallery's dropdown menu:
Assigning galleries to divisions
Once you have created your divisions and gallery types, you can add galleries, and assign them to specific divisions, or make them available in all divisions.
For example – Tia has four galleries below, two separate Portfolio (main) galleries for her "Models" and "Influencers" divisions, and a Digitals, and Video gallery.
When viewing her portfolio on the agency website, the Models division will show only the "Models" portfolio, along with the Digitals and Video galleries. Likewise, when viewing her in the "Influencers" division, the portfolio will only show the "Influencers" portfolio, as well as the Digitals and Video galleries.
If you wanted the Video gallery to only be accessible via the "Models" division, you would set that as the associated Division in the gallery settings:
Now, the "Influencers" division will show only the "Influencers" portfolio, and the "Models" division will show both the "Models" portfolio and the Video gallery.
